Iranian car companies are showing interest in the Russian market and the Ministry of Industry and Trade is ready for cooperation. State Secretary Albert Karimov announced this.
“Companies have shown interest. That’s why we are ready and open to partner with companies. Therefore, as their proposals and ideas are concretized, we will of course also consider them,” TASS tells him.
As for specific car models for export to Russia, Iran has already mentioned them.

These are Tara (brand Iran Khodro) and Shahin (manufacturer SAIPA), which were presented at the Moscow fair.
The information was confirmed in an interview with RIA Novosti by Najafi Manesh, chairman of the board of directors of Iran Spare Parts Production Association.
He also said that the possibility of cooperation with Moscow on heavy transport vehicles is also being considered.
As Manesh noted, Iranian cars undergo special tests regarding weather conditions. That is why, according to him, Iranian-made cars can withstand low temperatures down to minus 25 degrees on Russian territory.
