A new degree of influence on persistent offenders, who fail to pay fines, is starting to work. They were taken seriously by bailiffs, who confiscated the cars of defaulters and put them up for sale.

So, Ford Focus a motorist who liked to park his car on the lawns and did not pay the fines imposed for it (a total of 114 fines in the amount of more than 380 thousand rubles), was found, seized and sold.

“After the initiation of the enforcement procedure, the citizen decided to hide the car and avoid paying off the debt. Employees of the enforcement authority have placed the vehicle on the wanted list, – the WG cites the story of the representative of the main directorate of the Federal Judicial Officer of Russia in Moscow. – As a result of a joint raid by bailiffs and inspectors of the MADI, a foreign car was found in the area where the next of kin of the debtor live. In the presence of witnesses, the bailiff arrested the vehicle.”

Amounts owed on fines were deducted from the proceeds after the sale and a performance fee was withheld. The rest of the money was transferred to the account of the former owner of Ford.

The performance fee is a very impressive amount. For example, for a car owner who collected 116 fines over 140 thousand rubles, it amounted to 81 thousand rubles.
