Apparently, AVTOVAZ is experimenting with the color of the moldings on the front bumper of the Grants, which form a family “X” on the front of new and updated Lada models. More recently, images of cars have already flashed on the web, with the liner not being chrome-plated, but covered in metallized gray enamel. The nameplates on the stern and the emblem on the nose of the car were characterized by the same coating.
It turned out that this variation is not the only one. The Avtograd News community published a photo of Granta, with the X painted in black gloss. The source claims that cars with such a “mask” have rolled off the assembly line in Tolyatti in recent days. At the same time, the rest of the decor elements on the body – the aforementioned emblem and nameplates – remained in the same version, painted with gray enamel.
It is likely that gray will now become the main color of decorative elements instead of chrome – we can assume that this is one of the relief measures, replacing components with cheaper counterparts. And black will be an optional option – for example, as part of the next special series. But so far, the innovations have not been officially announced and have not affected car prices in any way.
