The Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade will provide KamAZ with a subsidy in the amount of 677 million rubles. for the release of a new model of dump trucks with a K5 cabin (made on the basis of the Daimler cabin), although the automaker could not assemble these machines. About informs “Kommersan”.
According to the publication, in order to receive a subsidy, KamAZ had to produce 300 such dump trucks by the end of 2022. However, the production date of this batch has been postponed to 2023. At the same time, the car factory will still receive money, since the main reason for not fulfilling the plan was the sanctions imposed on the enterprise, which deprived KamAZ of many foreign components for car assembly.
To date, the company has assembled about 100 KamAZ dump trucks with a K5 cabin. According to the publication, all imported components necessary for the assembly of such machines will be replaced.
