G-Energy, a brand of high-tech motor oils from Gazpromneft-SM, became a technical partner of the Russian Circuit Racing Championship and launched a mobile laboratory and a unique service for predictive equipment diagnosis – all impending failures are detected as early as possible stages.

The G-Energy mobile laboratory provided technical support to the crews. It is equipped not only with highly sensitive devices, but also with artificial intelligence. With just one drop of oil, the lab determines the degree of wear on the motor mechanisms, and artificial intelligence (a neural network that has been self-learning for several years) compares the results of the samples with its database and provides an accurate prediction for the operation of the equipment .

The G-Energy laboratory only needs 10 minutes to perform the vehicle diagnosis on site. This allows laboratory experts to identify problems at an early stage before they occur and affect the operation of the motor and other components.

This technology was demonstrated in the fourth phase of the series, which took place on August 20 and 21 at the Moscow Raceway near Moscow. All participants in the competition were able to perform diagnostics: in total, more than 30 studies were conducted.

This year the races will be held simultaneously in 8 classes. The series of races was complemented by a G-Drive Cup Shortcut competition and vintage cars competed in selected heats of the SMP Historic Cup. In addition, the youth classification received the status of the Russian Championship.

Working on the toughest races in the world (providing technical support to teams and making recommendations to mechanics), G-Energy experts improve oils and create new formulations of G-Energy lubricants. Therefore, the company’s interest in racing is far from vain.

Now the G-Energy laboratory moves to the next stage of the race, which will take place from September 9-11 at the Igora Drive circuit in the Leningrad region.

Anatoly Skoromets, CEO of Gazpromneft-SM:

– The Russian track racing series is one of the most difficult and prestigious car competitions in Russia, the best drivers and crews of the country go to the start of the series. Technical support and the unique experience of our specialists at such a high level of racing allow us not only to improve and improve oil formulations, but also to create fundamentally new products, such as the only predictive diagnostic service in Russia. Now, this technology, which comes from motorsport, will successfully work off the track and help industrial, agricultural, mining and energy companies.
