The new taxi aggregator Bibi will be headed by the former head of the Gett taxi aggregator who left Russia and the founder of the Russian app store for Android RuMarket Anatoly Smorgonsky, TASS reports. However, a top executive’s track record is not limited to this: In the past, Smorgonsky has held the position of CEO of Yota, as well as senior positions in VimpelCom, which operates in Russia under the Beeline, Rostelecom and Tele2 brands.
“He becomes a shareholder and becomes CEO of the company in the Russian market. In Bibi, Anatoly Smorgonsky will develop the Russian market,” the new company’s press service told the agency.
Bibi will focus on the B2B segment and plans to take a stake in Gett. The main staff of the new aggregator will be employees of Gett’s Russian division, which eventually left Russia in early June.
The new aggregator has already received investment from local investors and international investment has also been attracted. Sources say it is money from China.
The new service will solve non-standard tasks, such as renting a premium car with a driver. Despite the fact that the company’s focus is on B2B (working with companies), it will also develop the B2C (working with individuals) direction and will also develop international markets. The main priority in the initial stage is Moscow and St. Petersburg.
You can already download the application of the new aggregator in the App Store and Google Play stores, but also order a taxi and make trips.
