The government has allocated another 50 billion rubles for the construction of the M-12 federal highway, which will allow the road to be built ahead of schedule. The order for the allocation of funds was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
At the end of June, 28 billion rubles had already been allocated to accelerate the construction of the M-12.
The authorities expect that thanks to another “addition” the road builders will commission sections in the Moscow and Vladimir regions this year, with a total length of about 100 km.
This route is part of the important federal project “Europe – Western China”, which will help expand trade channels with Asian countries, increase the speed and reliability of product deliveries.

The construction of the M-12 is being managed by the state-owned company Avtodor, which manages toll roads in Russia. The length of the road is 823 kilometers, it passes through 8 regions: the Moscow, Vladimir and Nizhny Novgorod regions, cross Chuvashia, Tatarstan and Bashkiria, enter the territory of the Perm Territory and reach the capital of the Sverdlovsk region – Yekaterinburg . The road will be four lanes (two in each direction), with an estimated speed of 120 km/h.
The cost of the project is estimated at 650 billion rubles. The work is planned to be completed in 2024, but it could be earlier.
