The two-liter turbo engine was deformed for us, causing the power to drop below 200 hp. Thanks to the Chinese for this. The suspension has also been modified. It changed the springs and shock absorbers to make the chassis more collected. A slight build-up remains, but it cannot be compared with that on the Chinese version. The suspension is energy-intensive, but stiff at sharp joints and speed bumps. In general, it is suitable for Russian roads.
The motor and the preselective robot are not bad friends. The latter rarely vibrates (although we haven’t been in lengthy traffic jams) and doesn’t get tangled up in gears. The motor pulls smoothly, without dips and pickups. When overtaking, this creates the illusion of lack of dynamics. Although slow can not be called Dargo.
Salon – spacious
Two passengers in the second row feel like in a limousine. Spacious in all directions.
The interior is beautiful, functional and at the same time of high quality.
And thirdly will not be superfluous! Unlike many competitor crossovers, the cushion is convex in the middle, but not stiff. Under the weight of an adult, she misses – it is comfortable to sit. And overhead, even with a panoramic roof, there is plenty of “air”.
The USB charging ports on the lower tier of the center console face slightly towards the driver and right passenger. An excellent solution, which for some reason no one else has. The visibility of this “underground” is zero and it is much more convenient to use the twisted connectors.
Trunk – small
The indicated volume is only 333 liters. When measuring with our cubes, even less comes out. Many family trips will have to put the box on the roof. A good “filling” serves as small compensation: a 220 V socket, hooks and above all a full-fledged spare wheel.
If the contactless opening of the trunk does not work due to a foot movement under the bumper, the bumper must be kicked. Right in the middle of the silver liner is a sensor that is activated by touch.

Transparent hood
Off-road, they tested the “transparent hood” feature, previously only found on SUVs. Dargo cameras have excellent image quality. Therefore, the off-road assistant turned out to be useful: the terrain is perfectly visible with all the details.

In the center pillars of the body, there are traditional handles for SUVs at the top, which make it easier to get in and out. But for children the car is very high. That is why stamps are provided at the bottom of the racks. With their help and support on the body steps, small passengers can climb onto the seat without adult intervention.
Quality Stimulator
The stimulator in the driver’s seat only appears in the top configuration. But it’s worth paying extra for it! Eight pneumatic chambers distribute the blood according to five programs and work meticulously. Much more effective than most cars in this class, with the body massaging the lumbar support roller.
All doors have cup holders with stretch straps. They even hold 1.5 liter bottles! And their neck is turned to the riders: it’s easy and easy to take off.
The Legacy of Jolyon
Dargo and Jolion are relatives on the LEMON platform. And this is not only hardware, architecture and units, but also general solutions in small things. For example, both cars cannot switch on the dome light of the driver and passenger separately. Uncomfortable!
But, unlike the Jolyon, the Dargo’s handlebars are adjustable for reach. A strange algorithm for the windshield heating operation (only when the gearbox is in park and the antifreeze is colder than 60 aboutC) already solved on Jolyon. Serial Dargo also comes with updated software.
And I really want to check the four-wheel drive Dargo in the winter. The Jolion tightened the rear wheels late and then was unstable, wagging the stern.

The Chinese crossover turned out to be a balanced and thoughtful machine. That’s just not all shortcomings of the more compact platform model Jolion have been remedied.
