Nairobi-based Roam, which also makes electric buses and electric vehicles, has unveiled the Air motorcycle. It’s a simple bike with a lightweight metal frame, off-road wheels, a double saddle and a large storage box instead of a gas tank.
Engine Sky develops a maximum torque of 185 Nm. Weighing only 135 kg, this is enough to reach a top speed of 90 km/h in just five seconds. The rider can choose one of five riding modes and the bike also has a reverse gear.
The payload of the motorcycle is 220 kg, and the range reaches 90 kilometers on one charge. In this case, the bicycle can be equipped with one or two batteries. In the second case, the power reserve is up to 180 kilometers.
Sky with one battery will cost about $ 1500 or 90 thousand rubles, and with two – about $ 2050 or 123 thousand rubles. There are no sales of these motorcycles in Russia. For now anyway.
