Auto insurers in Ingosstrakh, RESO-Garantia and AlfaStrakhovanie began to actively use their connections and influence to help auto dealers find and supply scarce spare parts for auto repair services for hull insurance, Finam reports, citing sources in the companies.

Activation of insurers to support car repairs caused by a crisis in the supply of spare parts after the departure of European car manufacturers.

Ingosstrakh has even developed a program for “supply and distribution of spare parts through alternative channels”. Until now, the program provides spare parts to the company’s Moscow customers, but soon it will also cover the inhabitants of St. Petersburg, and in the future it is planned to organize the supply of spare parts to those regions where there is also a shortage of parts for repair.

The biggest problems now arise with spare parts for premium cars.

To compile the program, a pool of reliable suppliers has been selected, giving preference to those who have good connections with manufacturing companies, who have been working in this area for a long time and are ready to provide parts of the required quality within a strict strictly defined time frame.

In RESO-Garantia, such support is not even considered a non-core activity, because it is done in the context of losses, for the settlement of which the insurer is responsible according to the contract with the customer.
