That is why it is worth visiting motorcycle festivals and motorcycle exhibitions. For example, dedicated to the Motorcyclist’s Day, which this year was celebrated on June 20 (in 2023 it will be celebrated on June 19 – this is always the third Monday of the first month of summer). One of these events was attended by Kirill Mileshkin, an expert from Za Rulem, the oldest and most popular automotive publication in Russia. And there, in the exposition, he discovered a very interesting example of motor vehicles – British Morgan 3 wheeler.
This is a semi-antique remake (the source is a model produced before 1953), which was produced from 2011 to 2021. In total, about 2.5 thousand of these tricycles were produced. Model with narrow cabin for two people, equipped with motorcycle wheels (two at the front and one driving behind) and a motorcycle two-cylinder V-shaped motor, which is brought forward.
The power of the 1.8-liter engine is, depending on the version, from 83 to 136 hp, which is more than enough for a 500 kilogram device. The gearbox for this model is from: Mazda MX-5.
Trips on such a tricycle become really fun – riding for the sake of riding. And Morgan 3 wheeler are valued in such a way that they can claim the title of collector’s item. Next Generation 3 wheeler will be completely different – with a three-cylinder engine Ford, which will be hidden under the hood. And it’s not the same anymore.
Worth the effort Morgan 3 wheeler a lot. They are not for sale on the Russian secondary market, but abroad these tricycles are sold at prices ranging from 47.5 thousand to 75 thousand euros (from 3 to 4.5 million rubles). And there we found only 9 copies for sale.
