The State Duma has in its first reading adopted a government bill on the organization of the transport of passengers and luggage by passenger taxis in the Russian Federation.
Since the standards contained in it will affect millions of passenger taxi users, companies, state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the Organizing Committee of the X International Eurasian Taxi Forum has decided to prepare a draft appeal to the State Duma on the need to hold parliamentary hearings in the autumn session. It is necessary to form a high quality law that takes into account the interests of all parties.
The International Eurasian Taxi Forum will be held on August 4-5, 2022 in Moscow at the Technopolis Moscow Congress Center with the support of the Moscow Government, the Ministry of Transport, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
After the restrictions of the pandemic were overcome, the taxi market faced new challenges in 2022 due to sanctions pressure and the restructuring of the Russian economy. The shortage of cars and spare parts, the need for import substitution of technological solutions and the decline in effective demand endanger the maintenance of the right level of quality and the safety of transport and make it necessary to restructure the business models of services.
The forum will have 15 sections to discuss competition issues, state and corporate anti-crisis strategies, the development of smart mobility and urban infrastructure, the introduction of digital technologies, customer service and will try to answer the question of how all this will affect passengers.
The result of the event will be a resolution, which will contain proposals from all public relations participants in the taxi industry. This document will be sent to the State Duma for the drafting of new federal legislation on taxis.
At the same time, an exhibition will be held at the forum, where current solutions in the fields of IT and new technologies, equipment and fuel, the financial sector, as well as solutions from the domestic automotive industry and cars from new markets will be presented.
