A batch of these cars was seen in the parking lot arriving in the Russian Federation after the flagship GS8, according to the Chinese Automobiles portal.
The representative of GAC Motor did not deny that the GS5 is already in the company warehouse and that Russian buyers will soon be able to buy crossovers in two well-equipped trim levels. For Luxury they ask for 2,409,000 rubles, for Premium – 2,559,000 rubles.
The engine of the GS5 model is only one – a 1.5-liter turbo engine with an output of 137 hp, aggregated by a 6-band Aisin automatic transmission. Drive forward only.
Standard equipment includes LED optics, leather upholstery, dual-zone climate control, wireless charging, cruise control and a rear view camera. The “winter package” includes heating of the front seats, windscreen and rear windows and side mirrors.
The top versions received air curtains, blind spot monitoring, a panoramic sunroof (instead of the usual), contactless boot opening, interior lighting and other features.
GAC Motor said in the publication that the GS5 will arrive at dealers next week. Recall that in November 2021, about a year after sales started, crossovers stopped selling.
