What’s underneath? Compose rules? Will they rust?
Engine T77 the bottom is covered with a plastic boot. Floor to ground – just 160mm, and even less with the optional metal guard. The bottom is almost flat, without protrusions. The anti-corrosion layer is thick, but not without bare spots – spot refinement can’t hurt. The slots for the radiator are not too large, it is not necessary to put a mesh in front of them.
The hood without pneumatic stops is fixed with a “stick”. A rubber seal is laid around the entire perimeter, there is hope that it will remain clean for a long time.
doors at GS5 keep the opening clean longer than the T77. But the engine compartment gets dirty faster – there are no seals on the sides. Well, at least they were generous with the pneumatic stops.
But they saved money on crankcase protection – they didn’t even provide a plastic case. However, the 190mm clearance allows you to do this – when you’re not out on the road.
Anti-corrosion on the GS5 is also applied unevenly, so you have to spend money on additional processing. And it’s better to put a mesh in the bumper if the dealer hasn’t put it on you already – the slots in the bumper are too big.
