The Moskvich automobile plant plans to produce original cars from Russian steel in 2026. According to socialbites.ca correspondent, the company’s commercial director Maxim Zlatokrylets spoke about this at the Moscow International Automotive Forum IMAF.
The plant plans to produce a car with an internal combustion engine. The company plans to localize telematics, soft seat elements, fuel tanks, etc. by 2025. By 2026, Moskvich will present its own car.
Zlatokrylets also noted that there were difficulties in developing the new product due to the impossibility of stamp production at the enterprise.
“All stamps in the world are now made in South Korea. The lightest stamp weighs about 200 tons. Now we are faced with the question of where to get the stamp and how to deliver it. But we are ready, it is in our plans,” he said.
