Prices for maintenance of passenger cars in Russian car service centers will increase by 10% by the end of the year. This was told to socialbites.ca correspondent by Tatyana Ovchinnikova, director of the international network of car service centers Fit Service.
“We expect car maintenance prices to increase in Russia. The average percentage increase will probably not be below 6-10%,” Ovchinnikova said.
According to the expert, the increase in the cost of car service will be affected by several factors. These include the real inflation in goods and services and the shortage of staff, which requires higher wages. Car repair shops are increasing the cost per hour so that their customers can offer their employees more competitive wages. The cost of spare parts also plays an important role – their prices are traditionally tied to the exchange rate.
The company noted that the average bill for car service in the first half of 2024 will be 9.6 thousand rubles. It was 31% lower than in the same period last year in 2023.
