The cost of UAZ “Bukhanki”, which today reaches 2 million rubles, is overpriced for its consumer quality and low reliability. Deputy Chairman of the National Automobile Association (NAU) Jan Heitzer told socialbites.ca. He added that motorists are forced to purchase such vehicles due to the lack of alternatives in the SUV segment.
“When someone goes for a UAZ, it means that they can’t afford another SUV. Now they have a choice between very expensive foreign SUVs, mostly sourced from unfriendly countries, and the UAZ. In my opinion, the UAZs are not worth the money,” says Heitzer.
According to him, the “Loaf” does not meet modern safety standards, controllability and dynamic requirements. However, prototypes of the new UAZ, which promises victory over the Land Cruiser Prado, remained on paper.
“As for the ‘loaf’, this car is not up to date and not safe. It should not be driven on public roads. It is a work vehicle that should be registered for technical inspection but should not be driven on modern roads,” says Heitseer.
