“South Rockade is 91% ready. The construction is divided into eight sections. Five of these have been completed and three are under construction. The main construction work of the South Road is planned to be completed by the end of the year,” he said.
The Southern Route is the largest highway in Moscow, 40 km long. It runs from Rublevskoe highway to St. Upper Fields. It passes through important highways such as Mozhaiskoye, Kashirskoye and Varshavskoye highways, Leninsky Prospekt.

The new routes will reduce road congestion and improve transport accessibility in nine Moscow regions, home to about 1.3 million people.
One of the roads will connect the Pokrovskoye-Streshnevo district and the development of the former Tushinsky airport with the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district; it will bypass the Volokolamsk highway;
The second will run from the north of the capital to Moscow City. The third road will bypass the Third Transport Ring (TTK) and be built from the former ZIL industrial zone to the south and southwest of the city.
