The home-built Geoff Crossley Special sports car, built more than half a century ago by the famous British racer Geoff Crossley, is going up for auction at Bonhams. reports auto.ru.
“Crossley spent more than 5,000 hours building his race car. The chassis and body were built from scratch by himself. The power system has four Weber carburettors. He changed the engine internals and, for example, the crankcase. The project took six years, from 1968 to 1974.”
Driver Geoff Crossley is well known to British motorsport fans, having achieved over 40 wins from 200 starts during his career.
The car is valued at between £30,000 and £50,000 and is being sold by Jeff Crossley’s heirs.
