The demand for truck drivers in Russia this spring has more than quadrupled compared to last year, according to a study by the Avito Rabota service, presented to socialbites.ca.
According to analysts, due to high demand, truckers’ salaries increased by 31% during the year: in the spring of 2024, they could count on an average of 177 thousand rubles per month.
In addition, the number of vacancies for forklift and dump truck drivers increased by 1.5 times. Their average salaries also increased: 62.7 thousand rubles and 107 thousand rubles, respectively. But employers are ready to offer the highest earnings to truckers, trawler drivers (160 thousand rubles) and tonard drivers (135 thousand rubles). The top five highest-paid professions also included tractor driver (125 thousand rubles) and dump truck.
According to Avito Special Equipment, the increase in the number of vacancies coincides with the positive dynamics of demand for this type of transport. For example, demand for new dump trucks increased by 8.6% over the year compared to spring 2023, demand for buses by 36.7%, and demand for tractors by 33%.
