Finland accused the Russian side of creating the Lada Iskra model according to drawings imported from Renault. Finnish automobile experts from Tekniikan Maailma (TM) drew attention to the publication attention Publication “Business Petersburg”.
According to TM, drawings and other design materials may have been borrowed. In practice, many technical solutions of Lada Iskra are fully compatible, in particular, with the Dacia Logan hatchback of previous years.
Before that, within the framework of SPIEF-2024, world premiere new Lada Iskra car. The car was presented by AvtoVAZ president Maxim Sokolov.
Thus, Lada Iskra will be offered as sedan, station wagon and Cross station wagon. The new model will receive three types of power units: the base engine is 1.6 liters. 90 hp, combined with a five-speed manual transmission, 1.6-liter engine 106 hp. with six-speed manual transmission or automatic transmission. Lada Iskra will be available in grey, brown, red and white colours.
Currently, preparations for the production of a new model are underway, final tests and calibrations are being carried out on the design of the car. Production of the model will start in 2025.
