The changes will also affect citizens who lose their driver’s license due to drunk driving. A ban is imposed on people who are subject to administrative punishment for driving under the influence of alcohol or who refuse to undergo a medical examination for one year.
In addition, when taking the exam at the traffic police, the examiner will now have to sit in the back seat, not in the front seat as before. It was decided to approve such an innovation because it was determined that the inspectors were responsible for the accident. Examiners sitting in the front seat were treated as drivers.
There will also be changes in the scoring system of the exams. Seven penalty points will now be allowed, rather than five as currently.
Starting from April 1, Russian car owners can receive an international MTPL policy – “Blue Card” for trips to Belarus. They will replace Green Card policies.
