This year AvtoVAZ will significantly reduce sales of Lada Vesta with manual transmission, opting instead for the Chinese CVT. In this respect reports Telegram channel Unlimited.
“Initially, it is planned to produce about 20% of Lada Vesta with CVT, and from now on this proportion will be increased to 50%,” said a representative of the car factory.
Next year AvtoVAZ plans to increase this figure to half of all Vestas with no changes. The No Limits interlocutor explained that the percentage in favor of the “automatic” was due to high customer demand for the two-pedal Lada Vesta.
Now the cost of Lada Vesta with a 1.8-liter Evo engine (122 hp) and CVT starts from 1.6 million rubles, that is, from 75 thousand rubles. It is more expensive than the version in similar configuration with a 1.6-liter engine and manual transmission.
Analysts before this guessHe said that in the next three to four years, sales of new cars with manual transmissions in Russia will reach a minimum level. Only 34% of new cars from European countries in 2022 are equipped with this equipment. The share of new vehicles with manual transmission in the domestic market is 30-35%.
