Dangerous situations on the roads can cause seasonal deterioration among drivers, especially increased testosterone levels in men. Psychologist Armena Arakelova, a member of the professional psychotherapeutic association of Russia, told this to the correspondent of socialbites.ca.
“Spring is a period of increased hormonal activity, which causes increased traffic congestion. Testosterone peaks in the male population during spring and summer. Excess of the hormone in the body can trigger aggressive conditions. They often become the reason for risky and hasty decisions on the road,” notes the psychologist.
The expert added that during the winter months, many Russians fall into an apathetic-depressive state due to lack of daylight and vitamin deficiency. In the spring, people experience an emotional upsurge and become less restrained, leading to impulsive decisions while driving.
“A full check-up is recommended in the spring. If testosterone levels turn out to be high, you need to find a way to channel that energy in a constructive direction. A high testosterone level is not only about libido or aggression, but also about quality of life and achieving goals,” concluded Arakelova.
