Police in Moscow detained a taxi driver suspected of stealing a pensioner’s personal belongings. In this respect reported On the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
“It turned out that the suspect was a 24-year-old young man. According to preliminary data, while getting into the vehicle that came to order, a 62-year-old woman put her bags in the back seat and sat in the front seat. Arriving at the destination address, the customer paid the travel fee and got out of the car. “But when he opened the back door to get his belongings, the taxi driver suddenly started driving,” he said.
Then the taxi driver fell after dragging the pensioner, who did not have time to lower the door handle, several meters along the road. The driver did not help the old woman and took her bag and ran away.
A criminal case was initiated under Part 2 of Art. 161 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Robbery”). The suspect was detained.
