New passenger car sales in Russia increased by 85.1% in February 2024 compared to the same period last year. TASS reports this with reference to the analytical agency Autostat. A total of 104 thousand cars were sold in the last month of winter.
The market leader in February was the Lada brand, whose sales increased by 33% to 28.7 thousand units. In second place is Geely, whose dealers sold 12.3 thousand cars, which is 3.8 times more than in February 2023. Haval ranks third with 12 thousand vehicles (2.4 times increase).
The fourth and fifth places in sales in Russia in February 2024 were taken by Chery (9.9 thousand, +45.4%) and Changan (6 thousand, 12.7 times increase).
It was previously known that the average price of spare parts in the domestic automobile insurance basket increased by 7.2% in February 2024 compared to January 2024.
During this period, the average cost of the front wing increased by 62.7% (from 9.7 to 15.7 thousand rubles). The price of taillights increased by 53% (from 10.1 to 15.5 thousand rubles). Rim prices increased by 9.5%, rear left door prices increased by 14.1% and airbag prices increased by 37.2% during the month.
