Yaroslav Nilov (LDPR), chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans Affairs, developed a bill proposing to allow more intense tinting of front side windows. In this respect reports TASS with reference to the document.

“The bill proposes that drivers should not be penalized if the light transmittance of their cars’ tinted front side windows is at least 50%,” the document says.

According to technical regulations, the light transmittance of the windshield and front side windows must be at least 70%. With tinting, visibility is reduced at night and in bad weather conditions. Thanks to a tinted windshield, the distance at which an object is recognized is significantly reduced.

For violation of glass light transmittance standards, a fine of 500 rubles is imposed. The inspector requests the cessation of illegal actions, in case of repeated violation the driver faces a fine of 2 thousand to 4 thousand rubles or administrative detention for up to 15 days.
