When choosing a used car with automatic transmission, it is better to avoid cars of French brands equipped with DP0 transmission, which has a low resource. You should also not buy Chevrolet and Opel cars with unreliable 6-speed automatic transmissions. In this respect said Expert of the magazine “Behind the Wheel” Sergei Zinoviev.
“If you’re looking for an affordable car with an automatic transmission, avoid Renault models with DP0 transmission (also known as AL4 in many Peugeots and Citroen). It was modernized in 2009 (DP2 index), it became much better, but the resource is still estimated at 250 thousand km,” Zinoviev noted.
He added that such a resource is insufficient for the simplest four-speed transmission. Zinoviev also advised, if possible, to refuse to purchase cars with 6T30/40 automatic transmission produced by General Motors. It has a significant resource but breaks down regularly. This transmission was installed on the Chevrolet Cruze, Aveo and Cobalt, as well as some Opel models.
It was previously known how much it would cost to buy Updated Kia Carnival in Russia.
