Production of Lada cars may be established in Ethiopia; A corresponding project is under development between the Russian and Ethiopian parties. In this respect reports RIA Novosti, citing Russian Ambassador to Ethiopia Evgeny Terekhin. According to him, there are enough companies in Ethiopia that have experience of cooperating with foreign companies.
“Lada Export agreed last December with one of these companies, the state-owned Ethio Engineering Group, to examine the economic and technical possibilities of organizing such a meeting. Based on the results of such a study, the implementation of the relevant project will be decided,” Terekhin said.
Lada cars performed well in Ethiopia, proving their reliability and unpretentiousness. In connection with these conditions, the ambassador noted that Ethiopia is promising in terms of organizing the assembly of Russian cars there.
