During the year, 388 dealers selling light commercial vehicles (LCV) in Russia were closed. In this respect reports analytical agency “Avtostat”.
In January 2023, there were 1,503 dealers selling delivery trucks and pickup trucks in Russia. By January 2024, there will be 1,115 authorized dealers offering light commercial vehicles. While 524 dealer contracts were terminated during the year, only 136 new dealer contracts were signed.
The main reason for the decrease in the number of dealers was companies offering cars of brands that left Russia. Renault immediately transferred its 120 official dealers to the category of service partners that only provide repair services. Korean Hyundai decreased by 108, Isuzu by 47 and Volkswagen by 32.
The leading Chinese brand in the number of light commercial vehicle dealer centers opened was Foton and added 44 dealer centers.
