A bill has been submitted to the State Duma to increase penalties for drivers who refuse to stop at the request of police officers and violate the rules of transporting goods. RIA Novosti reports this.

It is also proposed to deprive the driver of his license for six months for repeat offending. Currently, the penalty for refusing to stop at the request of the police ranges from 500 to 800 rubles.
It is also proposed to increase the fine for violation of the rules on the transportation of goods from 500 rubles to 100 thousand rubles. It is also proposed to establish that the driver’s refusal to undergo a weight and size check of a vehicle will lead to a fine in the amount of 10 thousand rubles and the deprivation of the driver’s right to drive for a period of six months. to the owner of the car – a fine in the amount of 100 thousand rubles.
