Tariffs for trucks traveling on federal highways increased in Russia

The tariff of the state system for charging trucks weighing over 12 tons for traveling on federal roads “Plato” in Russia has increased by 7.42 percent since February 1. This was reported by RIA News Referring to the Russian Ministry of Transport.

Now truck owners will have to pay 21 kopecks more per kilometer – the total cost will be 3.05 rubles per kilometer. The decision to increase the tariff was made based on the actual inflation of the previous year.

The Russian Ministry of Transport explains that such indexation will have minimal impact on the final cost of delivered goods.

Before that, Nikita Chaplin, a member of the Russian State Duma Committee on Budget and Taxes statedIt was stated that a number of benefits and payments will be indexed for Russians in 2024, and citizens will receive most of them starting from February 1.

The parliamentarian noted that more than 40 payments will be indexed on February 1 and this will affect 20 million people.
