It was supposed to include passenger cars with engines up to 100 hp. A disabled person who owns such a vehicle will be exempt from paying taxes.
Before that, it became known that deputies of the LDPR group, led by leader Leonid Slutsky, were developing a bill aimed at reducing transport taxes for preferential categories of citizens, regardless of the engine power of the car.
According to the new draft law, beneficiaries will not be deprived of the right to reduced tax if the engine power of the car is exceeded. At the same time, the amount of tax will be reduced in each case by the amount of horsepower on which the benefit is established. Thus, the vehicle owner who is entitled to assistance will only pay tax for the excess power used.
