The number of pre-orders for the Russian Atom electric car reached 36 thousand. reports TASS cites Anatoly Kiyashko, director of interaction with government bodies of Kama JSC.

Production of atomic vehicles will be established at the Moskvich plant in the capital. The first electric cars will appear in showrooms in the second half of 2025. In terms of dimensions, the electric car will be comparable to the Lada Granta in the hatchback body: length 3995 mm, width – 1780 mm. Ground clearance 170 mm, wheels from 17 to 19 inches are provided. The Atom will have a fully independent MacPherson strut suspension at the front and a multi-link independent suspension at the rear.
The vehicle will be rear-wheel drive only. The power plant will be able to produce 204 hp power, and the 77 kilowatt battery will be able to travel up to 500 kilometers without charging. When charging at a powerful station, eight minutes will be enough to gain energy to travel 100 kilometers.
