Russian AvtoVAZ dealers have accumulated a two-month supply of Lada cars. Alexey Podshchekoldin, president of the Russian Automobile Dealers (ROAD) association, told socialbites.ca. According to the expert, this was because buyers began to buy Chinese crossovers more often instead of domestic sedans and station wagons.
“There is a stock of Lada Vesta cars in dealer warehouses two months in advance. This is because the cost of Vesta modifications reaches 2 million rubles, and many buyers have to pay only 200-300 thousand rubles more to buy a higher class Chinese car. For example, Chery Tiggo 4 Pro,” said Podshchekoldin.
According to the president of ROAD, buyers choose Chinese cars because of their competitive advantages. For example, their comfort and the presence of an automatic transmission, while the same flagship model of AvtoVAZ, Lada Vesta, is offered only with a manual transmission.
steel before known mostly cars ordered through parallel imports.
