Alexey Podshchekoldin, chairman of the Russian Association of Automobile Dealers (ROAD), said that it is necessary to establish a state company in Russia that will help develop the domestic automobile industry. He mentioned this at the organization’s last press conference.
“We need dialogue with the authorities today. We need our own company designed to develop the automotive industry,” said Podshchekoldin.
The ROAD chairman gave the example of China, which is centrally developing its own automobile industry. According to him, the new state institution may be called Rosavto.
It is stated that the main function of the organization is the planning of automobile and spare parts production. The organization will communicate with the Russian Government and the Ministry of Industry and Trade regarding the distribution of orders and the establishment of new factories. Also take legal initiatives to regulate relations between market participants. The organization is also required to oversee scientific activities related to the development of new automobiles and technologies at universities and research institutes.
