Porsche, which launched a recall campaign for Carrera GT supercars in April 2023 and advised owners to stop using them, has failed to repair them. In this respect reports Jalopnik.com.

The German automaker announced that it is recalling 489 examples of the supercar produced in 2004 and 2005 due to possible suspension failure that could lead to a car accident. Suspension links can fail due to mechanical damage and corrosion.

At the same time, vehicle owners were advised to stop using their vehicles indefinitely. The publication’s source said Porsche does not currently have spare parts to fix the defect, and the repair timeframe has not been determined.

The necessary spare parts are expected to arrive only in the third quarter of 2024. At the same time, some rare supercar owners in the UK complained that insurance companies refused to insure the Carrera GT for use on public roads due to a defect that was not corrected by the manufacturer.
