“Russian automakers, especially Avtovaz, express very ambitious plans for promotion in the Russian market. I think the market will probably stay at the same level, maybe grow a little. In my opinion, the factor currently limiting market development is that the cost of credit has increased significantly,” Vasiliev explained.
He added that Russians are still being given vehicle loans under unfavorable conditions. However, the expert concluded that the market situation would improve if automakers created their own financial instruments for consumers.
