Car manufacturing and production at the former Volkswagen plant in Kaluga will restart in the first half of this year. Such conditions were announced by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Minister of Industry and Trade Denis Manturov. TASS.
“The production of the first products should start in the first half of 2024,” the head of the department said at the Russian exhibition and forum at the Russian Government Coordination Center.
According to Manturov, the new owner of the enterprise was the domestic company Art-Finance, close to the Avilon dealer holding. The minister explained that the company has already found a foreign technology partner.
