At the end of May, Lukoil acquired a 100% stake in LLC Shell Neft, which had 411 Shell-branded service stations and a lubricant factory in the Tver region. One of the first petrol stations under the new name Teboil has opened on Ryazansky Prospekt. In addition, new logos appeared at gas stations in Kazan.
Shell’s signature yellow and red shell has been replaced with a red and white Teboil logo. V-Power premium fuel has also changed its name, it will be sold as AI-95+ and AI-98+, and diesel as DT+. It will also develop its own loyalty program, similar to the current Lukoil program.
For example, Lukoil will transfer more than 400 service stations purchased from Shell under the Finnish Teboil brand. The Lubricant Factory in Torzhok City, Tver Region, which has become the property of Lukoil, will also produce products under the Teboil brand.
The company decided to keep the business as a separate subsidiary of the company under the Teboil fuel brand, which has been owned by Lukoil since 2005.
The company Teboil was founded in Finland in 1934 and is one of the largest organizations in the oil sector in this country. The brand is known to Russian consumers from the lubricants supplied to the USSR, which began in the 1960s.
