“In this facility, Automobile Technologies company starts crossover production. A pilot group of 48 vehicles will gather here by the end of the year. Mass production will start in 2024. Of course, everyone is interested in knowing the local assembly model. The company will definitely announce this at the start of sales,” said Shapsha.
The automobile factory PSMA Rus LLC has been idle since April 2022. The company produced cars in a full cycle. Mini vans, compact vans and commercial vehicles (including those destined for the European market) from Peugeot, Opel and Citroen have rolled off the assembly line.
The facility was planned to become operational on December 18, but the official ceremony was postponed to the next day.
