EU member states will be able to allow European Union citizens living in Russia to import cars. In this respect reports RIA Novosti, citing a statement by the Council of the European Union.
This decision was announced by the EU Council within the scope of the 12th package of anti-Russian sanctions. European citizens will be allowed to import cars into the EU as long as they are not for sale and are used for personal purposes only.
In addition, the EU has relaxed restrictions on the import of personal items, including hygiene items and clothing, for travelers from the Russian Federation. The document mentions clothing that travelers wear or wear as part of their luggage.
In particular, the restrictions within the framework of the 12th sanctions package aim to deal an additional blow to the Russian Federation’s ability to conduct military operations, says in the statement. The measures taken also aim to make it more difficult to circumvent anti-Russian sanctions.
