General Motors has completed production of the Chevrolet Camaro. The last copy of the sixth-generation model rolled off the assembly line this week. In this respect reports Road and Track with reference to the company’s press service.
“The Camaro has built a worldwide fan base and brought generations of people to Chevrolet dealerships. The sixth generation particularly embodied athleticism and composure, exuding confidence on the road and command on the track,” the publication quotes a message the company sent to the editor.
GM confirmed to Road and Track that Camaro production is ending this week. However, the automaker has not provided any details about the final assembled copy of the car and has not yet issued a press release regarding this event.
Chevrolet has officially announced that the Camaro will be discontinued and the sixth-generation model will not have a successor announced In March 2023. It was assumed that this would happen in January 2024.
