Production of Lada Largus restarted in Izhevsk

AvtoVAZ plans to produce 30 thousand Lada Largus cars in gasoline and electric versions at the plant in Izhevsk in 2024. In this respect reports TASS reported, citing company president Maxim Sokolov.

“The volume planned to be produced for cars with internal combustion engines is currently being approved by the board of directors, whose meeting will be held before the end of the year. But our offer is about 30 thousand cars, both with internal combustion engines and electric,” Sokolov said at the launch ceremony of Lada e-Largus production at the Lada factory in Izhevsk.

According to Sokolov, the volume of electric cars to be produced in 2024 will depend on the government’s support measures.

On December 15, the first six copies of the electric modification of Lada Largus rolled off the assembly line of the Lada plant in Izhevsk. clarifies “Kommersant”.

In total, the first batch will consist of 30 e-Largus units for testing and certification purposes. Mass production of both electric and gasoline versions of Lada Largus is planned to start in May 2024. The productivity of the modernized assembly line of the plant in Izhevsk is 25 cars per hour. According to AvtoVAZ President Maxim Sokolov, the production volume of Lada e-Largus will be 10% of the total production volume of this model.
