The price of second-hand cars in Russia increased by almost 10%

From September to November 2023, the average price of second-hand cars in Russia increased by 9% (to 1.54 million rubles). Here’s what analysts from CM.Expert said about this: transmits “Russian newspaper”.

For private sellers, the price increased by 11% (up to 1.4 million rubles), for car dealers – by 4% (up to 2.1 million rubles). The former sells cars on average in 26 days, while dealers sell them in 39 days.

The number of second-hand cars advertised in November increased by 8% compared to September, reaching 1 million cars. This is 21% lower than the same figure for 2022, when 1.3 million vehicles were available.

The best-selling cars in the economy class between 3-10 years old were Lada Granta, Hyundai Solaris, Kia Rio, Volkswagen Polo and Lada Vesta. In the middle segment, Toyota Camry took the lead, followed by Skoda Octavia, Ford Focus, Kia Sportage and Volkswagen Tiguan. In the premium segment, the most purchased vehicles were BMW 5 Series, Mercedes-Benz E-Klasse, BMW 3 Series, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Mercedes-Benz C-Klasse.
