Lada cars will receive a new six-speed manual transmission. The first cars with such a transmission are expected to roll off the assembly line at the end of 2024. In this respect reports portal “Car News of the Day”.
According to the publication, the new transmission will be combined with the 122-horsepower 1.8 EVO engine, which was introduced the day before and becomes the next generation of the similar 1.8-liter engine known since 2016. One of the models with such a combination will be the flagship Lada Vesta.
Now all new Lada cars are equipped only with a five-speed manual transmission.

The automaker did not reveal details about the power unit or whether it will be a foreign-developed engine. It is known that the engine power will not exceed 150 hp. It is assumed that the new power unit will be installed on Lada Vesta and will later appear in the crossover and minivan developed by the brand.
