In Efremov, Tula Region, a man found a fuel card in the courtyard of an enterprise and from there sold more than 17 thousand liters of fuel to foreigners. In this respect reported on the Telegram channel of the joint press service of the regional judicial system.
“On the evening of June 30, 2023, the defendant came to the gas station. “There, a man approached a driver he did not know and offered to buy diesel fuel from him,” he said.
Accepting this, the driver filled 500 liters of fuel into his vehicle, which he paid for at the gas station with the fuel card given by the attacker, returned his vehicle and gave cash for the fuel. Using the same scheme, the owner of someone else’s fuel card sold almost 17.3 thousand liters of fuel in the amount of 918 thousand rubles. The theft lasted two months, from June 30 to August 28.
After the loss was detected and the criminal was detained, he fully compensated for the damage caused. For theft, the court fined him 200 thousand rubles.
