The increase in second-hand car prices for under 15 years old has almost stopped. The average cost of such a car during the month increased by 0.5%, reports “Avto.ru Magazine” with reference to data from the classification database.
The average cost of a used car at the beginning of December was 2.19 million rubles. At the same time, the average cost was actively increasing in the last months of 2023. At the beginning of November, cars were sold for an average of 2.18 million rubles, and at the beginning of October for 2.13 million rubles (+7.6% compared to September). During the year, the price of cars on the secondary market increased by about 465 thousand rubles – at the beginning of December last year the average cost was 1.73 million rubles.
Analysts said the decline in price appreciation could be due to a decline in buyer activity and pent-up demand in the secondary market, as well as higher loan prices.
