The Road Traps hotline is a joint project of the Civil Chamber of the Russian Federation and the Main Directorate for Road Safety (GUOBDD) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

“The main task of the project is to clear traffic congestion, and it is with them that we will act in the first place, but we will not ignore other requests,” said Alexander Kholodov, deputy chairman of the RF OP Committee on Safety. and interaction with the POC.

The official also said that of the more than 500 motorists’ requests, 65 involve cameras, the installation of which has questions. Another 116 complaints describe places where motorists are forced to break traffic rules, and such appeals are primarily considered by the traffic police. 277 motorists complained about the traffic organisation.

“We don’t consider more than half of the calls to be traps, but they contain proposals from citizens on how best to organize traffic. And we will certainly send all these calls to the regional road safety committees, as well as pass them on to the road workers through our partner Informavtodor for proposal analysis and implementation, if the proposals are constructive,” explains Alexander Kholodov.

Most often, questions arise about the organization of traffic in Moscow, the Moscow region and St. Petersburg. Also, motorists in the Sverdlovsk, Rostov, Samara and Chelyabinsk regions are more likely than others to take the opportunity to file a complaint with the Road Traps hotline.

If you are in the situation described in this publication, please contact the Department of the Interior hotline at toll-free: 8-800-222-74-47. Tell the hotline operator the time, place, and other circumstances of the incident. The traffic police successfully combat unfair practices by inspectors.
