“We must now focus on localization, as well as on the rapid “revitalization” of the Russian supplier network with sufficient skills and basic means of production. Correct localization in the required volumes will have a positive impact on the price of the product. Besides localization, there are other tools we are actively using at the moment; reducing logistics costs, production costs and fixed costs,” Maslyakov said in response to a question about Moskvich’s cost reduction.
According to him, it is now difficult to understand what car prices will be in 2024. At the same time, he added that Moskvich is doing everything possible to optimize the prices of the models produced.
